False Bay Shark Cage Diving Expeditions

Thank you for your enquiry about our shark cage diving and AIRJAWS trips with African Shark Eco-Charters. Our shark trips run from Simon’s town, only 40 min from Cape Town. They are centered on great white shark cage diving, viewing, predation and breaching.

We do have availability for you on the 8 June 2011.

Please find attached a booking form and send it back to me to secure your booking.

We offer SCUBA DIVING and no dive experience is necessary. In fact, we are the only company to offer scuba diving on every trip (weather permitting). All dive gear is provided.

WHAT IS THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR TO INTERACT WITH GREAT WHITE SHARKS?

Ø  Intermediate Season is from February to mid-April. Our trips mainly focus on the cage diving and surface viewing. March had a 90% sightings rate. This season is too early for the breaching of the great white shark but we have seen breaches on our March trips and often see lots of dolphins on our trips.
Ø  Peak season is from mid-April to end of August with over 95% sightings rate. The best months for the predation and breaching activity are during June, July and August
Ø  September is intermediate high with a 70-80% sightings rate.
Ø  We a very high success rate, however with all wild animals, shark sightings, activity, predation activity and breaching can vary from day to day, and even during the height of the peak season there may be days when we do not see any breaching or predatory events. Guests need to aware of this, so you do not arrive with unrealistic expectations. Rather come hoping to see these natural events, than expecting.
Here are our rates and info on our trips.
We do our best to find sharks on our trips. However, as with all wild animals there is no 100% guarantee that you will see sharks. No refunds will be made for non-sightings.
